- This actually applies to both Tumblrs. I wanted to apologise for not updating regularly in ages. I mentioned on the Valentine’s Day post that I hoped yours was better than mine and thats because I have split with my partner, been homeless and Internetless, and just had no time.
But never fear! The LOLs shall return soon. My life is getting back on track and I shall soon have broadband internet at home again! Shock!
Thanks for sticking around - there are over 4000 of you Following this blog and I apologise to each and every one of you. I’ll try to not let personal stuff get in the way of Batman again ;)

Batman 3 Has A Title… And you can cross off the Riddler!

Big news from the Batman camp in today’s L.A. Times: Christopher Nolan has revealed the name of the third film in his Gotham City trilogy. In July 2012, we’ll be queuing for The Dark Knight Rises.
Not only that, but in something of a bombshell, Nolan went on to dispell what many had begun to assume to be a given – “It won’t be the Riddler,” reports L.A.T.’s blog Hero Complex. So easy to get ahead of yourself, isn’t it? Of course, true to form, the director wouldn’t reveal who it would be.
What Nolan seemed most interested in imparting was that he’s convinced Warner Bros. to keep telling his story in 2D, and to continue down the path of hi-def IMAX sequences. And he’ll get no argument from us on the subject – if it ain’t broke, etc.
The post contains one other potentially juicy, enigmatic Nolan quote: “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones.” From here, you can go down two schools of thought – 1) This is a straightforward, non-commital comment. 2) You can subscribe to the oft-chanted mantra that “In comic books, no-one is ever really dead” – and we lost two big characters in The Dark Knight. But then again, of course, that doesn’t – to date – really wash with the realistic leanings of the first two films. What was that about getting ahead of ourselves? Pah! Tish! Etc.!

Based off Batman’s bulky Frank Miller style, Thiago Provin sculpted The Dark Knight into an awesome figure. He looks like a freight train!

This is by the Key Of Awesome and is itself pretty damn awesome. The Alfred voice is my favourite part by far.
At this rate I could put together a fairly awesome mixtape of music that’s appeared on this blog… now THAT’S an idea.

So THAT’S why the Batmobile as a bar fridge…
I actually tried a Batman drink not long ago. It was… delicious? *lies through teeth. Teeth rotted away by the toxic sugar of the Batman drink*
My mother liked Pigs.
This was something I was told from an early age. Everybody knew it. She just really liked pig toys, pig figurines, pig anything. So much so that people constantly gave her pig related crap until bookshelves, table tops and any free space was covered in countless, sometimes cute, but far more often gaudy and tasteless, pigs.
Years later my mother revealed to me, whilst weeping in the corner, surrounded by thousands of smashed swine, that she never really like pigs.
Why am I telling you this fascinating and possibly made up story? Because I like Batman, and I've noticed the more people who know this the more random, Batman related crap people send me.
The name of this blog came from the Subject line of an email someone once sent me. This is my endless bookshelf.
