Batman: The Villains Rise
Yep, so by now you will have heard about the big news for who the big bads will be in the third (and no doubt final) Christopher Nolan Batman film will be.
Anne Hathaway has been announced to play Selina Kyle (if you don’t know this is Catwoman’s real name, the get the hell off this blog) and Tom Hardy will play Bane.
Tom Hardy is awesome and while it’s not the first choice of a 7 foot tall muscle bound monstrosity I think this could be a really exciting decision - certainly better than the pathetic treatment of Bane in Batman and Robin (then again, everything in that movie sucked)
As for Hathaway as Catwoman, I’m going to say this right now: I’m over everybody going “oh no, what terrible casting, what a mistake” etc. Yes, I’m cranky, but come on Tumblr - remember Heath Ledger’s Joker? Remember all the doubt, criticism and jokes? Now his version of the Clown Prince of Crime is beloved by all.
So yes, reblog this is you have Nolan faith and let’s try and keep our hats (and cowls) on for now - we’ve still got over a year before it’s released!

Yes, it’s Mr Men meets Batman.
There are actually a bunch of these, for Watchmen, other DC heroes and even a few of those… whatyoucallit… Marvel guys? You know, there’s like an emo half spider guy and a big cat dude with metal claws? I don’t remember the details.
But yes, enjoy these and make sure you check out the rest! They’re by Seven Hundred and some will even become t-shirts which is very neat - as are the rest of things in his store.

So, I assume you all saw the photos of this wedding - don’t think I can ever convince my girlfriend to marry me in this style, but I’ve always wanted my funeral to consist of me as Batman in an open coffin with everyone else attending in pre-assigned costumes.
All of this will be outlined in my will, naturally.

My mother liked Pigs.
This was something I was told from an early age. Everybody knew it. She just really liked pig toys, pig figurines, pig anything. So much so that people constantly gave her pig related crap until bookshelves, table tops and any free space was covered in countless, sometimes cute, but far more often gaudy and tasteless, pigs.
Years later my mother revealed to me, whilst weeping in the corner, surrounded by thousands of smashed swine, that she never really like pigs.
Why am I telling you this fascinating and possibly made up story? Because I like Batman, and I've noticed the more people who know this the more random, Batman related crap people send me.
The name of this blog came from the Subject line of an email someone once sent me. This is my endless bookshelf.
